About LTSC PDF Print E-mail

LTSC has been “helping people and building community” for 30 years. LTSC was originally founded to be a one-stop service center for Japanese-speaking seniors living in Little Tokyo. Today, we continue to serve these seniors and also serve Japanese Americans of all ages throughout Southern California.

Little Tokyo is our home base and our goal is to revitalize the area into a vibrant community, promote and preserve its unique cultural heritage and stimulate its economic health. Little Tokyo is a part of downtown Los Angeles and we meet the needs of the most vulnerable in our community by building affordable housing and providing on-site resident services including childcare, family literacy and youth programs.

To increase affordable housing in other communities, we have partnered with 15 community-based organizations and built over 600 units of affordable housing in low-income neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles. We also currently have 10 projects in our pipeline that when completed will provide an additional 837 units of affordable housing for families, seniors and transitional aged youth.
