Budokan of Los Angeles

The Budokan of Los Angeles is a multi-purpose sports facility that will be located in Little Tokyo in downtown Los Angeles at 237-249 S. Los Angeles Street (between 2nd and 3rd Street), adjacent to Vibiana (formerly the St. Vibana Cathedral) and Little Tokyo Branch Library.

The concept of a recreation center in Little Tokyo to help revive the area has been around for close to four decades. In 1994, after a series of community planning sessions, the Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) was assigned the task to help identify a site for the facility.

After searching for over seventeen years for a suitable site, the City of Los Angeles on May 17, 2011, granted LTSC with a long-term lease for city owned land located in Little Tokyo, Downtown Los Angeles.

Today, LTSC is embarking on a major capital campaign to fulfill a long-term dream for the community and build a major sports and activities center, called the Budokan of Los Angeles.
