🔔 AANHPI youth were 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in the California Dept. of Public Health’s suicide prevention programs due to inequitable data analysis 🔔 CDPH’s Office of Health Equity does not have a staff specialist in their Community Inclusion and Partnership team for the AANHPI community since it’s not deemed a ‘𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻’.🎙️ In June, LTSC Director of Service Programs Peter Gee testified with the California AANHPI Health Equity coalition at the "California State Assembly Select Committee On Mental Health Accessibility Within Non-English Speaking Communities" to advocate for mental health support for the diverse AANHPI community.Click the link below to learn more about our statewide advocacy as part of the California Asian American & Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Health Equity Coalition. ...
