Changing Tides (CT), a program of Little Tokyo Service Center, will be hosting suicide prevention trainings as part of their new CT Anchor initiative, in collaboration with the QPR Institute. These trainings are FREE and open to the public.
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer – 3 simple steps anyone can learn to save a life. Learn how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, how to ask about suicidal ideation, persuade them to seek help, and refer them to the appropriate mental health resources. QPR is a nationally recognized training. Upon completion of the training, participants are certified for three years as a QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper with the QPR Institute.
This virtual training will be conducted via Zoom on Thursday, May 11 from 6pm-7pm PST. The Zoom link will be shared by the licensed QPR facilitators upon filling out this form: https://forms.gle/kaqfuzF5QTkPzQvAA
