FIRST STREET NORTH- Little Tokyo Community Forum
April 8 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pmFree
After decades of organizing, Little Tokyo now has control over a majority of First Street North! We need your input for the future of the First Street North (FSN) block!
Join our first quarterly forum to share your input on what sort of community spaces you want to see in the FSN project! During the rise of anti-Asian racism, inclusive and safe communities of color like Little Tokyo are more important than ever. What kind of spaces do we need to maintain this neighborhood as a place of belonging, care, cultural expression, well-being, intergenerational connection, and joy!

A BIG WIN for the #MYFSN Campaign!
FSN is located between 1st and Temple St / Alameda and Aiso St. It is home to the Japanese American National Museum, Go For Broke, Fugetsu-Do, and many of our most important cultural institutions!
With strong community organizing by LTCC, LTSC & SLT, LA City Council approved a motion on March 23 to expand Little Tokyo Service Center and Go For Broke’s land lease and project on FSN! The new project will take a majority of the undeveloped block and include over 220 units of affordable/supportive housing! It will also bring to life part of our Sustainable Little Tokyo Community Vision to maintain our history and cultural roots for future generations!
