Queer Obon is back!

Come celebrate at Terasaki Budokan on September 20th from 5-10pm for Queer Obon Presented by Okaeri! This community festival gathers our Nikkei LGBTQ+ community to remember our queer ancestors through ceremony and dance.

Okaeri continues this tradition with an inclusive festival of queer joy, remembrance, and belonging. The event features games, food, Obon altar, Bon Odori circle dancing, and more! In the return of our Queer Obon, we are also providing an opportunity for the Okaeri Community to honor our late founder, Marsha Aizumi, as well as other members in the community we have lost. Queer Obon is open to all LGBTQ+ communities and friends.
