The virtual event is on a unique platform. How do I use it?

Sake on the Couch is hosted on a unique online platform and is best experienced with:

  • Laptop or desktop computer
  • Headphones
  • Chrome or Firefox browser

*The platform does not support mobile devices, tablets, or any other Android or iOS devices.

We have various help tools!

Can I have a 'watch party' with friends?

Maybe! This event is NOT a video like LTSC’s 40th Gala last year. This year’s Sake on the Couch event is a high-engagement event that allows you to freely explore our virtual world and mingle in real-time.

We recommend one ticket per person and one device (laptop or desktop) per person, so that everyone has their own avatar character. The virtual platform works similarly to a zoom call – so the mic and camera on your device are tied to your avatar character. If you’re in a room with others who are in the event, you might experience audio feedback (as if everyone was on a zoom call in the same room).

If you’d like to gather with friends for the event, we recommend everyone uses headphones on their device to prevent audio feedback.
