Volunteer with Mi CASA

Mi CASA is currently looking for fun & dedicated volunteers to mentor the youth through academic assistance, arts & crafts, sports and other developmental activities. The program will run, in-person, Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 5:30pm, beginning September 1st for the 2021-2022 school year. Volunteers are required to commit to at least one day per week for an entire semester, Monday-Friday, from 2-6 pm.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Youth participant check-in & check-out
  • Provide academic support/ tutoring
  • Planning & coordination of arts & craft activities and recreational engagement
  • Active engagement in activities, sports, and/or free play with the youth
  • Helping ensure the safety of the youth at all times

Please note that we are implementing safety guidelines & protocols that fall in line with CDC and LA County recommendations.

Seeking Book Donations to Revamp Our Library!

Mi CASA is thrilled to partner with Skylight Books to build a diverse, culturally-competent library for the youth! Our hope is to build a library that the youth participants feel represented in, as well as have the opportunity to learn about other communities and identities.

Through Skylight Books, customers can purchase books to be donated to the Mi CASA library at a 20% discount. When purchasing books online for the Mi CASA book drive, please make a note in the comments section noting which titles you’d like to donate and Skylight Books will apply the discount when processing your order.
